Coffee, Chaos, and Clicks: Confessions of a Side Hustling Mom
Hey everyone, and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I'm Joslyn, a full-time customer service representative, part-time taxi driver (thanks, Caleb!), and the ever-optimistic owner of "Lush-A-Buy Baby," my online store.
Let's be honest, life can get pretty hectic. Between work, school activities, and the never-ending quest for a clean sock, finding "me time" feels like a luxury reserved for unicorns. But lately, the ever-present tightness in my budget has been whispering the need for a change.
Of course, it's not all sunshine and rainbows (although, handmade rainbows would be a great addition to the store, wouldn't they?).
There's the learning curve. Turns out, there's a whole world of website building, SEO optimization, and social media marketing I knew very little about. Thankfully, Google is my new best friend, and there's a wealth of resources out there for aspiring online entrepreneurs (like me!).
Then there's the time crunch. Fitting in photo shoots between National Beta Club meetings and grocery shopping feels like an Olympic sport. Sleep? What's that? But the truth is, the hustle is worth it. Seeing my first order pop up on my screen was like a tiny victory dance (because who has time for a full-blown celebration?).
This blog is my way of documenting this crazy journey. I'll share my successes and failures, tips and tricks I learn along the way, and maybe even a few laughs at the sheer absurdity of it all. Because let's face it, being a mom is already a full-time job (and then some!), so adding an online business into the mix is bound to get a little messy. But hey, that's just the "chaos" part of "Coffee, Chaos, and Clicks," right?
So, whether you're a fellow side hustler, a mom juggling a million things, or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, stick around! I can't promise it'll be picture perfect, but it'll definitely be real.
See you next time!
P.S. If you have any advice for a mom who is trying to make in as an online seller, fire away in the comments

Now, I'm not talking about pyramid schemes or those "work from home and get rich quick" things you see plastered all over social media. This mama needs a legitimate way to bring in some extra cash, without sacrificing what little sanity I have left.
So, why an online store? Well, for starters, I've always loved fashion, travel, and creating. From designing fashion jewelry to whipping up adorable birthday decorations, creating things brings me joy. Plus, the flexibility of an online platform seemed perfect for someone with a schedule that changes faster than a toddler's mood.Of course, it's not all sunshine and rainbows (although, handmade rainbows would be a great addition to the store, wouldn't they?).
